Bomb/Blast Shelters
A fallout shelter is an enclosed space that is built to protect personal inside from radioactivity caused from fallout resulting from a nuclear explosion. Such shelters were constructed during World War 2. A blast shelter is to protect against shock waves and overpressure from bomb blasts. It is now possible to have a shelter that has both functions. Examples of a blast shelter would be underground subway lines, and in reference to Singapore, the underground MRT stations.
Nowadays, people have the option to have a blast shelter built in their own homes, and most people use it as a storeroom, as seen in the picture above.
