Seismic Loading & Analysis

Seismic analysis refers to the structural analysis and calculation of the response of a building structure to earthquakes. It is necessary to evaluate the designs and technology behind earthquake engineering technology. On the left are some of the methods taken to analyse a building’s response to seismic loading, which is an earthquake-generated agitation to a building.
Simulations

These are necessary testing procedures to verify a structure’s expected seismic performance. There are 2 ways these simulations can be carried out: Earthquake Simulation, or Structure Simulation. The former is a straightforward re-creation of local effects of a strong earth shaking on a building structure, followed by analysis. The latter is based on the concept of structural likeness or similarity between the building model and the real building. The more the both share geometric similarity, dynamic similarity and kinematic similarity (or even kinematic equivalence), the more accurate the simulation.
