Government Institutions
Government refers to the structure, the body and the people that form the decision-making process for the country or state. As the world changed over the years, primitive forms of governments has either died out or evolved to a more complex structure, into the well known concepts like the democratic form of ruling. To separate the functions and departments that form the modern complex ruling system, buildings with differing purposes were defined and built. From a hut built just for a chieftain to a building like the Department of Justice, many different buildings for different government purposes have come into existence. Here are two of such institutes
Parliament House
The Parliament House has many functions. Other than its main function to house the Parliament, it can also serve as a symbolic landmark for the country. For example, in the picture would be the Parliament House of Singapore, designed to “represent a contemporary architectural expression of stateliness and authority”.
Supreme Court
The Supreme Court building would be a building to represent and to host the proceedings of the Supreme Court, which is considered the highest court in many hierarchies of legal jurisdictions. The building not only serves as a location, but as a symbol in the legal structures in a country.
